This year our Santa Claus experienced hot summer work: he accompagnied the HALO measurement campaign „OMO“ which adressed the „self-cleaning capacity“of the atmosphere. He took care of toxic gases on board of the aircraft and maintained/repaired/certified scientific instruments.

He struggled with the unfamiliar non-snowy conditions of Cyprus and the Maledives, and after a successful campaign, he remembered the most famous detergent of the 70th…, and enjoyed his „own self-cleaning capacity“!

FALCON_SV (SkyView) ready for GW-LCYCLE 2016!

On the 18th of December 2015 the GW-LCYCLE mission 2016 started with a test flight of the FALCON research aircraft from Oberpfaffenhofen. enviscope GmbH and its partner Gomolzig Flugzeug- und Maschinenbau (GFM) contributed with the recertification of several instruments after modification. Furthermore, a new camera system (FALCON_SV) for the detection of gravity waves in the upper mesosphere has been certified by enviscope GmbH and GFM for deployment on the FALCON aircraft.

Dropsonde system for British FAAM BAe-146

The University of Hertfordshire (Prof. Joseph Ulanowski) has commissioned enviscope GmbH to deliver the “Cloud and aerosol dropsonde system for FAAM aircraft” which is based on the formerly developed “KITSonde” system. This system will initially be installed on the British BAe-146 research aircraft. It is intended to acquire data of meteorological dropsondes, as well as the data from the “Universal Cloud and Aerosol Sonde System (UCASS) “.

OMO test campaign succesfull

The test campaign for the OMO mission onboard HALO has been accomplished successfully. In January 2015 all scientific equipment has been integrated and the test flights have been finished. We are looking forward to the OMO mission to be performed in summer 2015.

STC for IAGOS Aerosol Intake issued

14.01.2015

On 14.01.2015 the EASA has issued a Supplement Type Certificate (STC 10051908) for the IAGOS Aerosol Intake. Sabena Technics BOD has applied for this STC as responsible design organization. The intake has been developed by enviscope in cooperation with Forschungszentrum Jülich as intake system for the IAGOS Aerosol Analyzer (Package2c). Ground test installation has been performed successfully onboard the Lufthansa Aircraft D-AIGT in close cooperation between Sabena Technics BOD and Lufthansa Technik.
