HALO campaign EMeRGe-Asia
The scientific project EMeRGe (“Effect of Megacities on the Transport and Transformation of Pollutants on the Regional to Global Scales”) investigates the impact of transport and transformation of plumes from major pollution centers (MPCs). EMeRGe uses the research aircraft HALO as major platform to measure emissions of MPCs in order to investigate their impact on air pollution at local, regional and hemispheric scales. The first of two flight campaigns over selected MPCs in Europe has been successfully finished in August 2017. Now the second campaign over Asia has been flown in March and April 2018 starting from Taiwan. enviscope has contributed to this project by certification and maintenance activities and on-site field support.
