The SMART-AIRTOSS Sensor Shuttle has finished sucessfully the main campaign with the Learjet 35A.
From August 26 several flights have been made near Helgoland and Rügen to measure high cirrus clouds above 30.000 feet. For the final flight to Kewvlavik, Iceland the Learjet was equipped with wingpods to measure a wide band of high cirrus clouds as well as dry air in the stratosphere. For more details about this project see AIRTOSS main campaign 2013.
