HALO-CoMeT
In April 2017 the HALO mission CoMeT has started. It’s objective was to improve the understanding and to better quantify the greenhous gas cycles in order to predict future climate change and to assess its impact. The target area reaches from central Europe towards the sub-tropics where the gradients of greenhouse gas emissions are largest. Transsects and vertical profiles have been flown. Beside other instruments there were two systems installed, that have been developed by MPI for Biogeosciences at Jena and enviscope. The system HALO_JIG mainly consists of the greenhouse gas analyser that is normally installed as IAGOS Package2d onboard Airbus passenger aircraft. The second system is the flask sampler system HALO_JAS.
